This folding comes on every page that has text, and contains the references that's in the text. We wanted to use this method to not do the regular reference list in the back. This way makes it easier to find the right references. Also, we though that this reminded us a lot about engraving that is in a lot of rings.
The book contains lots of information and history about rings, so we wanted it to look more modern and less like a history book.
